Flooding in Sierra Leone

Dear Beloved in Christ,
We have been experiencing some great flooding in Sierra Leone.
My sister Leone, has never experienced such a flood in our time. Because this has never happened before, and we were not prepared for it, it has caused some people to panic. Many have lost homes and family and some people are saying this is worst than the Ebola. It seems like we are still recovering from Ebola, as it left many homeless, and now we are hit again with flooding. My house also was hit by the floods, but thankfully we are all ok!
On Saturday, our team went into action. We were able to provide for our local team, eight bags of rice with some supplement that goes with it. After our team finished packaging more food, we were able to give out food to two hundred families. What a great day it was to be alive. We invited some of the people who were affected by the flooding and they came to our church, which is just in the neighborhood.
I shared with them the love of Christ, and encouraged them to trust in God. All may be gone, but Jesus’ arms are open to receive, if they call out to Him. I led all of them who came to the Lord, and prayed for them before giving them their packages. We want to do this many times when the Lord opens the door. God is so good, even in the storm.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers, and declare the rains to stop. We are so grateful for all of your prayers, love, and support!
Love and Blessings,
Andrew and the Sierra Leone Team
