Obedience that yields eternal fruit!

Since my last update so much has happened here in Nicaragua and I am in complete awe and reverence to my Lord and King. As you know from my last update, the Lord asked me to step away from many of our ministry projects and I said yes in obedience. Sometimes our “yes” isn’t easy but it is always worth it because Jesus is worth it and His ways are higher than ours.
Since then, we have seen more eternal fruit and lives changed than ever before. I actually have lost count of how many people have been born again because we are seeing people added to the Kingdom in every direction and in many cities! Praise the Lord! They are each being added to our various fellowship groups and brought into family and discipled.

Every person who receives the Good News then repents of their sins, dies to their old life and rises as a new creation through baptism where all of their sins are washed away. Then we pray for them to be set free from demons and filled with the Holy Spirit and praying in their personal language of tongues. Just like in the Bible, this all happens in a day and then they are immediately added to the family of God and they become a disciple of Jesus Christ. As disciples we have the great joy of then sharing the Good News with others, healing the sick and helping others to be born again. Our lives are no longer our own but they now belong to Jesus and we live for Him through the guidance of His Holy Spirit in us.

Prostitutes, drug addicts, the suicidal, the hopeless, the selfish, the prideful and the wayward are all hearing the simple gospel and choosing to repent of their sins, die to themselves and coming home to Jesus!

I want to share with you a testimony from the youth that have been born again. In addition to our various fellowships, the teenagers decided to start their own fellowship meetings on Fridays. This past Friday they decided to go to the mall in Managua. Most teens go to the mall to hang out with their friends and to be seen. Instead, our teenagers went to the mall and shared the gospel for 6 hours and prayed for the sick. They said that every person that they prayed for got healed and many lives were touched by the power, truth and love of Jesus!

If you made it to the end of this update and you have questions I would love to answer them for you. Maybe you realize that you need to be born again. Please send me a message. Or maybe you are born again but your life is not producing eternal fruit like we read about in John 15 and throughout the New Testament. I would be honored to share with you all I am learning. It is important for us to realize that Jesus never said to be a Christian. He said to be His disciple and to share the Good News, heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons and to make disciples. This is what we are learning to do and what Jesus has asked of all of us. I pray this update is an encouragement to all of you! Jesus is alive and He is transforming lives and families and setting the captives free. Above all that is happening in our nations and cities, Jesus is still on the throne and His Holy Spirit desires to move in power among the earth through you. Praise the Lord! Big blessings and hugs to each of you from all of us in Nicaragua.
