I had the pleasure of traveling to Niassa, in the North of Mozambique, with my son-in-law, Thiago, who is married to our daughter Annelisa and serves with Iris in Maputo.
The purpose of our trip was to encourage the Iris base and girls center “Aldeia de Alegria” in Lichinga and for me to encourage the district and Provincial leadership who oversee approximately 80 Iris churches in the province of Niassa. I was very encouraged to see not only the numeric growth of the churches but also the spiritual growth in the pastors as they came together, and some were able to forgive one another and begin the process of humbly serving the Lord together.
We were able to bring with us 48 printed Bibles and 100 audio Bibles to give to the Churches, as many don’t have Bibles as they are difficult to access.
