April-May update on Iris Chimoio

Written by Thomas and Edith Toalha

Dear family and supporters,
We bless you all in our Lord Jesus! We pray and trust you are all safe and protected from this worldwide pandemic, I believe our God is good and faithful in keeping us!
We in Chimoio Mozambique are all well, we praise God that to date there hasn't been a single person in our province detected with COVID19, and we pray it stays that way, this is the second month that the country is in stage3 lockdown.
Schools and institutions are still closed.
With our children in their various homes, (we are now officially an Open Centre, where we care for our center children in the homes of their relatives), it had been a bit difficult to see them although we contacted them via telephone to check their well being, they all seemed calm. Last week we visited each of our beloved children in their homes and distributed food stuff and some cash for school material as the public schools expect each student to photocopy work and hand them personally to their teachers for corrections. Only revisions of school work learnt in the Feb and March is happening!!
Let us continue to pray and uphold each other. Thank you so much for your continued support and prayer to us , the staff and of course the children!
