To begin, God has given us a clear word that He is calling prisoners to be pastors and missionaries to Bolivia and then across South America. So, we make friends in the largest prison in Bolivia, “Palmasola,” as well as a youth prison. These dear friends often have no visitors and very little hope. They usually have food to eat, but very little else. We demonstrate love practically with food, clothes, friendship and other basic needs. Most importantly we invite them to encounter Holy Spirit and begin their own relationship with Jesus.
We also come alongside their families and help them find work, start businesses, provide housing and other general support, while we invite them into knowing Jesus and pursuing Him as their only hope. A huge element of Iris Gran Familia is uniting broken families and bringing support to these fragile relationships, so that they can step into God’s calling for their lives.
We are in the process of locating a large property, with plenty of room, to live in community together with some of our new friends and begin being family together. Our heart is to see many go out from our family to share the Gospel, the power of the Holy Spirit and make disciples and bring hope to countless others.
