About Greeneville
Iris Greeneville is “stopping for the one” in the Tennessee Appalachian mountains.
Salvations, baptisms, and miracles are common place among our ministry to the precious people in our community struggling to find some meaning and purpose in the chaos of their lives. As the fire spreads, Iris Greeneville continues to grow in people ,outreaches and partnerships that include the following:
Continued ministry to residential and non-residential foster children.
Promotion and support of fostering and adopting.
Ravenwood Outreach to addicts and broken families in local low income mobile home communities.
Greene County Jail ministry with plans to open a Halfway Home for released inmates.
Recovering Hearts residential ministry to women coming out of addiction and/or jail time.
House of Prayer that is open to the community and the homeless.
Mountain People Worship, a growing worship-songwriting community focused on creating music with the sounds ofAppalachia to usher in revival of the Appalachian people.
The Rock community church which focuses on our foster children and their families as well as the local community,
Food Distribution to Greene County families
Involvement on Tusculum college campus through Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter and public school outreaches via the Christian First Priority program.
As the breadth of our outreach grows, we remain focused on the gospel and its simplicity to love the one in front of us while deeply committed to supporting and nurturing our local Iris family.
