Ashley Field

Base Director

Ashley, along with his wife Rosalyne and 4 children, Samuel (9), Jordan (9), Noah (8), and Gabriella (7), has a passion to see church planting and discipleship of the new believers here in the North. Ash grew up in a small country town in Australia, and was saved at the age of 19, when he was prayed for in a church for healing of illiteracy. He hadn’t been able to read at all, but after prayer, he picked up a Bible, and started to read. After this miracle, he dedicated the rest of his life to the service of God and His Kingdom, working and ministering in his local church, and later going on to run a church planting ministry and Aboriginal ministry in Northern Australia with his wife and children. God spoke to both him and his wife separately in 2011, telling them that in 2012 they would go to Africa and never look back. They were received at Iris Ministries in 2012, and stayed in Pemba until God called them to Mocimboa Da Praia later that year. They haven’t looked back, and rejoice in God’s calling for them to love and serve the least of these in the Northern North of Mozambique.

Rosalyne Field

Base Director

Rosalyne serves alongside her husband, Ashley and 4 children with a burning passion for evangelism and preaching of the gospel particularly to the lost and those who have never heard the name of Jesus before! She delights to go to the darkest places with the light, love and power of Jesus, to see the captives set free and reconciled to their loving God. Rosa heard the voice of God at the age of 12 telling her she would one day live the life of a missionary in Africa, even though at the time she wasn’t living for God, and continued to live away from God until the age of 19, when she was captured by the amazing grace, love and forgiveness of God. She fell in love with Jesus, and laid down her life to love Him and worship at His feet. She started ministering the gospel on the streets and in the church from the day she was saved, and loved sharing the gospel at every opportunity with the hopeless, and worst of the worst of society. Later, with her husband, she ran a church planting and Aboriginal ministry, continuing to share the gospel with homeless, drunks, drug addicts, and anyone else that nobody else wanted to love, seeing the power of God’s love transform lives! In 2012 the family answered the call to finally go to Africa and fulfill the word of the Lord that Rosa heard as a little girl. They joined Iris Ministries in Pemba, and then followed the leading of God to Mocimboa Da Praia later in 2012, where they delight to continue the ministry of reaching out to the darkest places with God’s unending love.

Brock Swanson

Missionary

Brock first came to Mozambique in 2012 with a YWAM team. He stayed for 2 months and was mightily transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. He felt the calling of God to attend Harvest School that same year. God spoke to him during the school to lay down his life and serve the gospel in Mozambique full time. He had met the Field family during his first visit, and knew that God was leading him to join their ministry in Mocimboa. He has been a part of the team there since the end of 2013. Brock longs to see the Mozambican bride arise and take back their nation for the glory of God. His passion is for the youth, to raise them up through discipleship and worship. Brock believes in the power of family, and he has a burning desire to minister the love of the Father’s heart to the broken. His heart is to become a servant of all, and to be a true minister of the gospel, following the example of Jesus Christ.
