Our main mission is to glorify Jesus and serve the Zambian Church. Iris Orchard is cultivating hope in Central Africa.
We believe people everywhere need hope and encouragement and a reminder of who they truly are… and whose they truly are! This changes everything. We see the global church being awakened and church leaders in Central Africa eager to be trained and empowered to transform their communities. We developed training modules to equip these leaders to step into their heavenly inheritance as the Body of Christ and bring Christ’s love and hope to their hometowns and villages.
Kids & Youth Mentoring Over one half of Zambia’s population is under the age of 15. This nation, along with much of the continent has struggled to recover from the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1990s and early 2000s that left many children orphaned and fatherless.
We are working with national churches to learn to speak the language of children and to embrace them even if it’s messy.
We mentor young people to grow into a ministry force that will live bold, purposeful, lives of history-changing significance.
Church Planting We fully believe many of our ministry sons and daughters will, in the future, plant brand new churches around the region and around the world and will stir a greater hunger for the Presence of Jesus.
Partnerships We believe Orchard is also being used by God as a bridge-building ministry. We connect leaders from different Jesus-centered denominations to work towards shared goals. We connect leaders from different societal sectors to address issues that confront whole communities. We are not ashamed to link with other mission agencies when they have “specialties” or areas of expertise that our friends can benefit from. And we invite the best trainers and leaders we know, from around the world to come and influence leaders we’re working with…bringing knowledge from far places to invest in Zambia’s spiritual development.
