These girls are all so precious. These beautiful girls are already starting to open up to us in so many ways. We can already see the amazing call of God on their lives.
We have started a group every Friday afternoon for teenage girls, where we are getting to know them and discipling each one. This last Friday was our first time meeting together. This is a safe place for the girls. We made it clear that this is a place where they can open up and be themselves, without fear. Everything that is said in this group stays in the group. Last week we chatted over many bowls of ice cream, and talked about their likes dislikes and simply got to know them. We laughed, talked, and listened to them express their hearts.
We plan to take these girls on trips to the Island not far from where they live, where many of them haven't been before. We will also take them to quite a few other places that will make them feel special and loved; to make them feel like the princesses that they are. There will be girls nights in which we will paint their nails and do makeovers.
In all of this, we will be teaching them about the love of Jesus and the plans he has for their lives. We will teach them the word of God and pray over them. Pray that He will break through to each one and show them His overwhelming love for them. Pray that Daddy God will show them their identity in Him and set them free.
All of us are so excited to see what Jesus has planned in these girls lives. They are going to move mountains. <3
