This month, was in many ways very revealing for us. We are a family of the Kingdom of God that set their gaze more passionately on the prison. We have so much that we could do, because the need is incredible. Above all, when there’s so much injustice, that you can clearly see, personally I’m so moved by the people that are their near their family. But it breaks me to see people that are completely alone and we only want to love them. I can say that the Light came to highlight everything for us. As a team we had all the compassion and desire to love them, but the perfect love will always be Jesus. That’s why we focus on Him, the gospel that has power to save, so we are sure that we are giving a temporary salvation, but salvation toward eternal life in Christ.
There are women and men in the prison that after a few years of friendship and relationship sharing our experiences with Jesus, in these last few months, received the gospel, decided to repent, die in the waters if baptism, be born again with Christ and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit to obey sharing what they received by grace. They are disciples of Jesus now and it’s evident how they are growing, maturing, and we too are from them. The Lord keeps our hearts humble because we know that he will give each one their gifts and that they have the Holy Spirit.
Personally, I don’t consider anyone better than another. I feel that we are equally children of God with one solid purpose: proclaim the Good News of the Gospel, heal the sick, freeing people from demons and slavery to others. We are passionate for the gospel because the fruit is God’s and it’s incredible and supernatural. Here I am a Bolivian and I confirm it, the religion keeps them blind for so long, but the veil has fallen with Jesus and now they can see clearly.
We are also advancing in our community outside of the prison: going out to look for the Lord’s harvest, listening to His voice, offering healing and freedom to the people the Lord shows us. We started by praying for a girl with a visual disability in the market and her vision improved. I felt that she was very sad but keeping up appearances. When I asked her, she poured out in pain and tears asking that we pray for her family especially for her dad. She asked us to visit her mom to talk to her about the gospel. We went the next day and we introduced her to Jesus. That same day her and her daughter were born again.
They brought their whole family to receive the gospel and her daughter and her fiancé also decided to walk with Christ. They are very hungry for God. They want to obey. It’s phenomenal. We can only see God’s hand in that. When we decided to let ourselves be taken by the Holy Spirit, we are completely submerged in the Kingdom of His love. Thank You Father for that.
We also have a testimony of a man that was incredible how the Kingdom of God came to him. Listening to the Holy Spirit, someone from our team had a little friendship with a guy and right in our week of “Kickstart” for the disciples in our community we received a message to pray for a young man who was laid out for months in bed because of AIDS. It was incredible, he received miraculous healing, he stood up from his bed, and his whole family was so impressed by the power of God. That same day he decided after receiving the gospel to repent, die in the waters and be born again in baptism with Jesus. Now he is learning to walk as a true disciple. The most important thing is that we still aren’t perfect but our whole life belongs to Him and with Him we grow.
My personal motto is, “we are going to pursue the lost and walk with the true disciples so that the Kingdom of God grows.” Knowing all this is beautiful here, but my gaze is on living eternally with Him. So, I pray every day that everyone can put their heart in Him and our eternal home, not in this world but when we go to the Father knowing that the only way to go to Him is Jesus. Praise God!
Este mes, fue en muchos sentidos muy revelador para nosotros. Somos una familia del Reino de Dios que puso su mirada más apasionadamente en la prisión. Tenemos mucho que podríamos hacer, porque la necesidad es increíble. Sobre todo cuando hay tanta injusticia, que claramente se puede ver, en lo personal me conmueve mucho las personas que están ahí cerca sus familiares, pero me quebranta más ver personas que están completamente solas. Solo queremos amarlas, y puedo decir que la luz vino a poner en evidencia todo para nosotros. Como equipo teníamos toda la compasión y las ganas para amar a ellos, pero el amor excelente siempre será Jesús. Por eso nos enfocamos en El y el evangelio que tiene poder para salvación. Entonces estamos seguros que no estamos dando salvación temporal, sino salvación hacia la vida eterna con Cristo.
Hay mujeres y hombres en la prisión que después de algunos años de amistad y relación compartiendo nuestras experiencias con Jesús, en estes últimos meses, recibieron el evangelio, y decidieron arrepentirse, morir en las aguas del bautizo, nacer de nuevo con Cristo y recibiendo el don del Espíritu Santo, para obedecer compartiendo lo que recibieron por gracia. Ellos son discípulos de Jesús ahora, y es evidente como están creciendo, madurando, y nosotros mismos aprendiendo de ellos también. El Señor mantiene nuestro corazón humilde porque sabemos que a cada uno le dará sus dones y que tienen el Espíritu Santo. Personalmente no considero a nadie mejor, siento somos iguales hijos de Dios con un firme propósito: anunciar las buenas noticias el evangelio, sanar enfermos, liberando de demonios y esclavitud a las personas. Estamos apasionados por el evangelio, porque el fruto es de Dios. Eso es increíble y sobrenatural. Aquí yo que soy boliviana lo afirmó, la religión los mantenía mucho tiempo ciegos, pero el velo se cayó con Jesús. Ahora pueden ver claramente.
También estamos avanzando hacia nuestra comunidad afuera la prisión saliendo a buscar la cosecha del Señor, atentos a la voz de El, y ofreciendo sanidad y libertad a las personas que el Señor nos muestra. Comenzamos orando por una niña que tiene deficiencia visual en un mercado y ella mejoró su vista. Sentí que ella estaba muy triste pero con una apariencia. Cuando pregunté a ella, ella se derramó en dolor y lágrimas pidiendo que oremos por su familia especialmente su padre y pidió que visitemos su mamá para hablarle del evangelio. Fuimos al día siguiente y le presentamos a Jesús, ese mismo día ella y su hija nacieron de nuevo, y ellos trajeron a toda su familia para recibir el evangelio y su hija y su novio también decidieron caminar con Cristo. Están con mucha hambre de Dios y quieren obedecer. Es fenomenal. Solo podemos ver la mano de Dios en eso, cuando decidimos dejarnos llevar por el Espíritu Santo, estamos completamente sumergidos en el reino de su amor. Gracias Padre por todo eso.
También tenemos un testimonio de un joven que fue increíble como llegó el reino de Dios a El. Estando atentos al Espíritu Santo, alguien de nuestro equipo tenía una pequeña amistad con un señor. El justo en nuestra semana de “puntapié inicial” para los discipulos de nuestra comunidad, recibió el mensaje para orar por un joven que estuvo postrado semanas en cama a causa del SIDA. Fue increíble. El recibió sanidad milagrosa se levantó de su cama y toda su familia estaba tan impresionada por el poder de Dios. Ese mismo día decidió después de recibir el evangelio, arrepentirse, morir en las aguas y nacer de nuevo en el bautizó con Jesús. Ahora el esta aprendiendo a caminar como verdadero discípulo. Lo más importante es que todavía no somos perfectos, pero nuestra vida completa le pertenece a Él, y con Él crecemos. Mi lema personal es —vamos a perseguir los perdidos y vamos a caminar con los verdaderos discípulos, para que el reino de Dios crezca. Sabiendo que todo esto es hermoso aquí, todavía mi mirada está en vivir eternamente con El. Así que oro para que todos puedan poner su corazón en Él, y nuestra casa eterna, no en este mundo sino cuando vayamos al Padre sabiendo que el único camino para ir a Él, es JESÚS, GLORIA A DIOS!
