So, our team is starting to have more testimonies of God working through them even while we aren’t around. The quarantine here in Bolivia really prevents us from leaving our home, but hasn’t stopped people from coming to us. Here is a testimony from our sweet friend Paola. I’ll give the translation first and then the original:

Yesterday was a very special day, because God showed us that His plans are always better. About a year ago Jon heard from God that we should go out and get to know our neighbors during Carnaval. Being faithful to the voice of God, he obeyed.
Together with and a few of our kids they went out to take the gospel to a few of our neighbors. Since the very beginning everything has been a miracle because the kids picked one specific house and in that place we met a lady lived with her two sons and her grandson. She received us and listened and she also let us know about all the problems her family was going through. With time and our relationship with her we kept insisting on discipleship and ministry to them, but they were kind of closed off to that.
Her grandson had a sickness like asthma and when we prayed for him he received a miracle of healing. But the problems still continued: one of her sons struggled with some addictions and drunkenness, her daughter had cancer, and the saddest things was that she didn’t want to open her heart to God.
In this time of quarantine every day we are more convinced of God’s purpose. First, because she finally has opened her heart and is very open. She is coming once a week to the Family Center to pray with us and she told us that her son is changing. But, yesterday she came with another lady. It was so good for our hearts and for the glory of God, because the lady was desperate for the presence of God. She asked us to go to her house and pray together with her family, because she felt they were lacking the presence of God in her house and that she didn’t feel capable of inviting God’s presence because she couldn’t go to her church.
Of course we told her that we are the church and that she should focus on the truth. Boris and Miguel (Two men from our team) went to her house and prayed with her whole family, but the most beautiful part of the testimony is that, after more than a year, Ms. Esperanza is open to God and has a lot of faith. When her son came to visit us with her, the change was surprising. He is a new man now. He’s left his addictions and drunkenness, he has a better job, and he is very open to God and to receive the truth of His love. Ms. Esperanza is sharing the gospel to her friends. Her grandson received his miracle of healing. Last but not least, she is almost sure that her daughter has beat cancer. God is so good that it’s supernatural to think of the fruits we are seeing today from a small seed, when Jon obeyed the voice of God and we met this family.

Ayer fue un día muy especial porque, Dios nos mostró que sus planes siempre son mejores. Hace mas o menos un año Jon escuchó de Dios, que debíamos salir y conocer nuestros vecinos en carnaval, y él, fiel a la voz De Dios, obedeció. Junto a Boris y algunos de nuestros hijos salieron a llevar las buenas noticias a algunos vecinos. Desde el primer momento todo fue un milagro, porque los niños eligieron una casa en especifico, y en ese lugar conocimos una señora que vivía con sus dos hijos y su nieto. Ella nos recibió y escuchó, y también nos hizo saber los problemas por lo que estaba pasando su familia. Con el tiempo y la relación con ella, continuamente insistimos en discipular y ministrar a ellos, pero ellos estaban un poco cerrados a la posibilidad. Su nieto tenía una enfermedad similar al asma. Cuando oramos por él, recibió un milagro de sanidad. Pero aun seguía los problemas: uno de sus hijos estaba luchando con algunos vicios y borrachera, su hija tenía cáncer, y lo más triste es que todavía ella no quería abrir su corazón para Dios. En este tiempo de cuarentena, estamos cada día más convencidos del propósito de Dios. Primero porque ella por fin abrió su corazón y está muy abierta, está viniendo una vez a la semana al centro a orar con nosotros, y nos dijo que su hijo estaba cambiando. Pero ayer ella llegó con una señora más. Fue algo tan bueno para nuestro corazón, y para la Gloria de Dios, por que la señora estaba desesperada, por la presencia de Dios. Nos pidió que vayamos a su casa a orar junto a su familia, por que sentía que le faltaba la presencia de Dios en su casa, y que no se sentía capaz de llamar a su presencia, por que ella no podía ir a su iglesia. Claro que le hicimos saber que nosotros somo la iglesia y que debía enfocarse en la verdad. Boris y Miguel fueron a su casa y oraron con toda su familia, pero lo mas hermoso de este testimonio es que despues de mas de un año, doña Esperanza está abierta al Señor, y con mucha fe. Cuando su hijo vino a visitarnos con ella, fue sorprendente el cambio. Él es un hombre nuevo ahora, dejó los vicios y la borrachera, tiene un trabajo mejor, y esta muy abierto a Dios y a recibir la verdad de su amor. Doña Esperanza está compartiendo las buenas noticias a sus amigos. Su nieto recibió un milagro de sanidad. Por si fuera poco casi está segura que su hija venció el cáncer. Dios es tan bueno, que es sobrenatural pensar los frutos que hoy estamos viendo de una pequeña semilla, cuando Jon obedeció la voz de Dios y conocimos esta familia.
