Be filled, give love and God changes things

Our Iris Gran Familia Base or "Family Center," as we call it here in Bolivia, is in the middle of a neighborhood right outside the prison.

We are surrounded by families, people in need and the broken and hurting. So much of our ministry and life is simply loving the people around us each day.
One opportunity for this has been with a mother and her teenagers that live directly behind us.
Dalia is a single mother with three teenagers, one of which is severely handicapped and another that is an addict. Angel has stolen from his home to get drugs and it has gotten out of control and the neighbors have accused him of stealing.
The police have been to his home a number of times in the last few months and they are very rough. They have beat and tasered him in an effort to interrogate him. Our team member Paola has really felt it on her heart to reach out and love this family. She has intervened when the police have been beating him and pleaded for mercy. She has been praying for this family and has felt helpless as to how she can help. This has been going on for the last few months but little did we all know God had been working in Angel.
The other night he came over with his mother and wanted to give his life to Jesus and go to rehab and get clean.
The team prayed with him to receive Jesus and prayed over his life and spent time talking with him and his mother. The next day Jon, one of our base leaders, took him to a rehab center.
God is so faithful and good and he is changing the hearts around us. All we must do is be filled by him and love those in front of us.
Will you pray with us for Angel and his family. We so desire this young man to get clean, to walk in his relationship with God and to have reconciliation and healing with his family.
God is so faithful and Good and it's such an honor to watch him work in the hearts of his children here in Bolivia.
